About IASC

Instrumentation Automation Surveillance & Communication Sector Skill Council is an Autonomous Industry lead Not for Profit Organization under Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship, Government of India. It is promoted by the Industry with the support of Department of Heavy Industries, Government of India and National Skill Development Corporation.  

IASC SSC role is as follows:

  • Identify and develop Skill Manpower Development Plan for the Instrumentation, Automation, Surveillance and Communication sectors.
  • Develop National Occupation Standards & Qualification Packs (Skill development Courses) in accordance with National Skill Qualification Framework (NSQF).
  • Certify Skilled Manpower under NSQF
  • Identify & accredit Training Providers & Assessors for the various courses.
  • Plan and facilitate the execution of Training of Trainers along with NSDC and the States.
